Gabrielle Brewer began working at the Korey Stringer Institute in 2020 and currently serves as the Associate Director of Military Safety. At the Korey Stringer Institute, she studies the influence of environmental conditions, hydration status, textiles, and exercise on physiological variables to improve the health and safety of laborers, war fighters, and athletes. She is passionate about translating and applying scientific findings to the occupational sector.
Gabrielle earned her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Minnesota and her master’s degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Gabrielle is a former collegiate figure skater and cheerleader. She competed at the 2014 US Figure Skating Intercollegiate Team Nationals, and the 2012 and 2013 National Showcase competitions, is a Certified Sports Nutritionists through the ISSN, and rated skating coach through the Professional Skaters Association. She has authored peer-reviewed scientific publications and is obtaining a doctoral degree in Kinesiology from the University of Connecticut.
